A man was sentenced Thursday by a jury to four months in prison and a fine of $250,000 for trying to cheat on his wife, Linda, who now lives in Washington. In February, a man was sentenced to six months in prison for filing an online fraud scam that turned out to be a scam.
In a court appearance Thursday, Linda and her husband, Thomas, filed an online fraud scam, claiming they used a website that claimed to be "an online dating site, dating services and a website selling Viagra and other drugs."

According to the court records, Thomas used a website to create a profile of his former girlfriend, Janice, in the United States. He was convicted of the offense in October 2011 after he was caught on information that she had been a suspected sex offender. The defendant then sold the drugs to customers, and then he allegedly used them to steal Janice’s credit card information and other personal information. Linda, 18, had a heart attack in November 2011 when she suddenly became dizzy and faint. She suffered a stroke in December 2011.She was treated for heart problems by her doctor in February 2012 and was prescribed heart medication, which is known to increase the risk of stroke in people with heart disease. The defendant was charged in November 2012 and convicted in February 2013. He pleaded not guilty to the charge in February 2013 and agreed to a three-year suspended jail sentence.
